A friend of mine asked me recently what words I would use to describe my life, words that I feel best represent how I have been treated in and have used this life. "Lucky" and "charmed" quickly came to mind.
I feel that I've been shown and given more goodness and kindness in this life than I could ever expect to receive. This life has taught me not to take for granted the goodness that I find in life. But it's also taught me to expect to find goodness in people, to allow it shine through, and to allow people to express the generosity of which they are capable and willing. Travel has truly taught me to rely on the kindness of strangers.
