Cool new sites from the Blog Reader

These last few days were very cozy, with the three storms bearing down on Los Angeles, we didn't think it was very safe to travel out, what with Californians being afraid of the slightest bit of rain. Well, that and flash flood warnings, and ten-car pile-ups on the 10 FWY. Movies, good food, and a little PS3 Mortal Kombat made the days pass by quickly.
Below are a few new sites that I found today during my morning scroll. I really like the items posted on some of my subscriptions, although it's true that I tend to go for the ones that have luxury items, artsy items, graphic design blogs, and food blogs--those things in life that the everyday more lovely just by being. Like this very cool alphabet poster by graphic designer Jason Dean, which is on hist online portfolio, http://tbpdesign.blogspot.com/. What's cool about it is that he recognized the logos of many large companies that are easily recognizable by any of us as consumers--a branded alphabet.

These hotties are going on my fantasy wish list.

The graphic design of this Russian company are beautiful, what they call a combination of Roccocco and Baroque styles. I knew some kids in high school and college who could do artwork similar to this, but the work of SCHC Graphics Group (http://www.sgr.kiev.ua) is on another level.

I very kindly offered to get this top for Jeff. He very kindly rejected my offer.

I can't wait to have reasons to dress like this every day.

Incidentally, La Tartine Gourmande is a great food blog to follow. Sweet images of the writer's dessert concoctions and even prettier photos of landscapes and the seasons around her, which I think inspire her menu.
